16th Annual Team Walker Golf Outing a Sellout Despite COVID-19 Restrictions

This year’s highly anticipated 16th Annual Team Walker Golf Outing took place at the Somerset Hills Country Club in Bernardsville, New Jersey, one of the top-rated golf courses in the Country, and drew a record number of participants and sponsors.

“Despite the pandemic, we sold out this year which is great for Team Walker,” said Bill Tuccillo, Director of Event Operations for Positive Impact.  “We actually oversold this year.  It’s been a difficult few months for everyone and the support our community has been showing Team Walker has been outstanding.  Thank you to everyone who came out and participated and sponsored the day.” 

This year’s outing did incorporate some changes. Positive Impact worked with SHCC to ensure state guidelines for gatherings during the COVID-19 pandemic were met such as hosting an only outdoor event with more space for social distancing and mandatory masks when social distancing was not possible.

Team Walker is a non-profit organization founded in 1996 by Jerry Walker (St. Anthony and Seton Hall basketball star) and his brother, Jasper Walker.  Located in the heart of Jersey City, New Jersey, Team Walker offers academic, recreation and athletic programs providing kids with safe and constructive alternatives to the negative influences that plague their inner-city environment.  In addition to Team Walker’s year-round programs and activities and the Golf Outing, Positive Impact organizes several other highly anticipated events and fundraisers for the Foundation including:
